WOODEN BOWLS FOR YOUR TABLEA beautiful, hand turned, wooden bowl will look great on your dining room table brimming with fruit, salad, or a fine silk flower arrangement. Wooden bowls are the essence of fine decoration and function. Displaying a wooden bowl on your table speaks volumes about your sense of style and your values. Whether your wooden bowl is functional or decorative, everyone can appreciate the unique look and feel of natural solid hardwood bowls. OUR PHILOSOPHYWe are commited to making the highest quality wooden bowls with eco-friendly thoughtfulness at the heart of our craft. You can appreciate our dedication to using local salvaged wood to make many of our bowls. All of our bowls are made from solid Northeast hardwoods. Nature provides us with many fine trees that would otherwise be carted off to landfills. We also garner trees from local farmers who are clearing trees for pasture or from home owners concerned about the safety of their homes. We work to be good stewards of the land by recycling nature's bounty. WOODEN BOWLS WILL LAST A LIFETIME:Wooden bowls achieve a beautiful deep luster and a patina that is only made with years of regular use and proper care. The first small nicks and scratches you put on your wooden bowl are just the first in a thousand which will give your bowl an added character that you will cherish for many years to come. Wooden bowls can be washed using hot water and dish soap, just as you would pots and pans, but never placed in a dishwasher. My bowls are not sealed or lacquered so that you can create the patina of use that is most desirable (Like a favorite pair of shoes that fit you just right). Here is the old adage for polishing wooden bowls; every day for a month, every week for a year, then every month thereafter.
